Google Wave is GO!
Got sent my invite from my girlfriend a couple of days ago. So it's finally live.
I haven't done a huge amount yet but I have noticed a couple of small problems. It is a beta release so I guess I shouldn't complain too much.
I have now sent a couple of invites to my friends so the Google Waves should start picking up soon.
In their words: "Google Wave is a new tool for communication and collaboration on the web, coming later this year."
Google have spent a couple of years creating this, and it is quite revolutionary in several aspects. The API is going to be open source, so that anyone can utilise it and build new functions into it.
Since it could potentially act as a 'centre' for all your online communications and eliminate the need to visit individual sites, I wonder how it will impact on sites like Facebook.
